A meet-me-room build integrating high-density single-mode fibre, ODF-level cross-connects and carrier-grade optical transport equipment.
The new MMR needed to bring fibre pathways, termination, cross-connects and active optical transport equipment into one controlled interconnection environment. With many transmit and receive paths concentrated in a small footprint, physical routing and port-level traceability were as important as bringing the equipment online.
Rack use, optical distribution, active equipment positions and fibre pathways were coordinated around access, separation, bend-radius and future cross-connect requirements.
Huawei optical transport shelves and associated interfaces were installed and connected as part of the MMR node, aligning active equipment with the agreed ODF and remote-rack design.
Single-mode fibre routes were formed into protected, maintainable bundles with reusable hook-and-loop management. Source, destination, transmit, receive and port information were reconciled at both ends.
Connectivity and optical-level checks were completed against the connection schedule, with exceptions resolved before the rack, ODF and port records were issued for operational use.
The data centre gained a structured optical interconnection node that can be operated and expanded without losing control of individual paths. The physical labels shown in the project records have been anonymised for publication while the delivered handover retained the full operational detail.
