Who controls your information
Gadgets Lab Ltd is the data controller for information submitted through this website. Our registered office is Office 108, 220 Wharfedale Road, Winnersh, Wokingham, England, RG41 5TP. You can contact us at enquiry@gadgets-lab.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, company, email address, telephone number, project type and project information. Our hosting provider may also process essential technical and security logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to understand your request, respond, discuss possible work and maintain an appropriate record of the conversation. We process this information where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and for our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, managing relationships and protecting our services.
We do not use enquiry details for automated decision-making, behavioural advertising or unrelated marketing, and we do not sell personal information.
Who receives it
Website delivery and security are currently provided through Netlify. Enquiries are delivered to and managed through Microsoft 365. These providers process information on our behalf under their service and data-protection terms. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities where this is necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect our legal rights.
International processing
Netlify and Microsoft may process data in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and other countries in which they or their service providers operate. Where a restricted international transfer applies, we rely on the relevant provider safeguards and contractual protections required by UK data-protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry information is normally retained for 24 months after the last meaningful contact. If an enquiry becomes a customer or supplier relationship, relevant records may be retained for longer where required for the contract, accounting, legal obligations or the establishment and defence of legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise a right, contact enquiry@gadgets-lab.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can investigate your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
