Ireland Data Centre White-Space Fit-Out

Large-scale white-space fit-out coordinating cabinet rows, overhead power distribution, rack PDUs and readiness checks for phased IT deployment.

The Challenge

A large data hall needed a repeatable installation standard across long cabinet rows while power distribution, rack hardware and supporting infrastructure progressed in the correct sequence. The work had to preserve clear A and B power arrangements, consistent cabinet presentation and a controlled route from construction completion to IT-ready white space.

How We Delivered

Control the white-space sequence

Cabinet, power and supporting work packages were coordinated around shared access, completed areas and downstream commissioning dependencies so parallel activity did not create avoidable rework.

Establish repeatable cabinet rows

Cabinet positioning, alignment, fixing, bonding and identification were completed to a consistent row standard, creating a stable base for subsequent equipment deployment.

Distribute power at rack level

Overhead busway and tap-off arrangements were coordinated with the cabinet layout, then rack PDUs and dual-feed power paths were installed and checked against the agreed allocation.

Verify readiness before handover

Physical inspections, identifiers, power checks and outstanding works were reconciled through snagging and close-out before each area was released for the next deployment stage.

Outcomes

  • Long cabinet rows completed to one repeatable white-space standard
  • Overhead power distribution aligned with the installed rack layout
  • Dual-feed rack power arrangements checked and made ready for equipment
  • Data-hall areas released through controlled inspection and close-out

Client Outcome

The client received scalable white space that could move into phased IT deployment with cabinet and power dependencies already coordinated. Repetition across the hall was managed as a controlled delivery standard rather than a series of isolated rack installations.
